- Week 2: August 14-18
We have two different levels of day camp available for kids ages 6 and older. All youth camps are full day camp and a split of acro, aerial, and dance. Camps are a great way to learn new skills, build on existing abilities, and have some summer fun at the studio!
RECREATIONAL – Beginner/Intermediate Level (ages 6-12)
- Week 1: July 17-21
- Week 4: August 21-25
Recreational camp is best suited for students with beginner to intermediate dance, acro, or aerial experience. These weeks are 100% beginner-friendly. Depending on the number of participants, we will split the students by age and level for the classes we’ll do throughout the day. Students will do 1 dance class, 1 acro class, and 1 aerial class daily along with time for outdoor play, crafts, and games.
What to wear? Students are asked to come dressed in fitted clothing such as leggings and a bodysuit or fitted top. Bodysuits are best for going upside down as they stay securely in place but a fitted shirt also works. Long hair is to be worn tied back. Please do not wear anything with zippers, clasps, or notions that could potentially snag on the aerial silks and damage them. No fake nails, jewelry of any kind (except small stud earrings) or anything sharp that could damage the fabric. Please also bring a pair of clean indoor runners. If your child owns any dance shoes they are welcome to bring them. Dance classes can be done in bare feet or socks.
What to bring? A snack, water bottle, sun screen, hat, back-up change of clothes just in case. Please send appropriate outerwear for outdoor time. We plan to go to the wading pool on Gertrude in the afternoon on Wednesday so please send a swimsuit and towel that day.
INTENSIVE – Intermediate/Advanced Level (ages 9-18)
- Week 1: July 24-28
- Week 2: August 14-18
Intensive camp is best suited for students with intermediate to advanced dance, acro, or aerial experience. If students do not have previous aerial experience in aerial but are seasoned dancers or acrobats, they are still welcome to sign up for this camp. We will group students so they end up in level-appropriate groups. Students will do 1 acro class, 1 aerial class, and 1 specialty class daily (ex. flexibility, partnering, yoga, etc.), as well as 2 dance classes daily. That’s a lot of training! This camp is geared towards students who are used to training at a certain level and training for longer periods of time.
